Conceptual Copywriter
For more than a decade, I’ve worked as an advertising copywriter, creating fully integrated campaigns that include digital, print, tv, and social. I’ve worked with a wide range of clients — across categories — including Health/Wellness, CPG, Food & Beverage, and B2B.
I have been integrally involved in every stage of project development, from new business pitches to campaign launches. From social media posts to full website copy decks to national TV spots, I’ve written it all and loved it all.
I’m skilled at overseeing day-to-day creative development and strategic brand planning. I have experience managing and mentoring junior team members, editing their work and ensuring that all communications are consistent in style and tone.
Digital Journalist
I’m SEO-savvy and write well-researched articles and blogs posts. I’m adept at cultivating sources and conducting original reporting. I’m also at home doing extensive research using quality sources, like medical journals, scientific studies, and accredited organizations.
Affiliate/ Commerce Editor
I also have five years of experience working in the affiliate content space. I know how to garner clicks that convert into revenue. I am adept at using analytic tools to gauge performance and optimize those findings. I have worked tentpole sales holidays and written single-product spotlight articles.
Social Media Manager/ Content Creator
I have ample experience developing social strategy, editorial calendars, social posts, and analytics reports.
I’m involved in social influencer outreach, community engagement & management, and targeted hashtag generation. I’ve also run giveaways and promoted sweepstakes on social channels.
10 Things About Me
I care about the minutia but never lose sight of the big picture.
I love working in a fast-paced team environment, but I’m equally at home working autonomously and in a remote capacity.
I’m originally from Wisconsin but I built my career in New York, so I have that Midwestern “Roll Up Your Sleeves” attitude coupled with a relentless New York work ethic.
I’m a middle child and that means I have years of experience as a consensus-builder. Here’s an interesting fact about middle children: We’re actually more likely to “successfully effect change in the world than any other birth order,” according to psychologist Catherine Salmon in an interview with New York magazine.
I love getting lost — in the woods, a new city, or at the library.
One of my favorite quotes comes from a book on Frank Lloyd Wright: “The detail expresses the whole.”
I’ve traveled to 5 out of the 7 continents (haven’t hit Australia and Antarctica).
My favorite book of all time is The Corrections by Jonathan Franzen, but The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay by Michael Chabon is a close second.
I love The Proust Questionnaire at the end of Vanity Fair each month and so I’m going to borrow one of those questions for #10 on this list.
